First Light is sitting on a park bench at daybreak; the warmth of sunbeams on skin juxtaposed with the cold air surging into one’s lungs.

Our writers and featured artist capture that wistfulness and reflection one feels when a new day begins, with the old one fresh but surely fading away. Enter the visions of trains by sunrise, trees unfurled, kites in the breeze, and strawberry summers.

We present this new issue of Talon Review with the same excitement we felt seeing it come together, and hope you are moved enough to share it with others.
